even MORE flowers..
So, flowers have always been a popular subject for basically any photographer. They happen to be accessible to anyone, colorful, and sometimes even interesting to look at. And I have a bad habit of taking way too many photos of them. Enjoy. Even more are pending approval on Dreamstime.
Nikon Coolpix 550..
I've been experimenting with a Nikon Coolpix 550, and really, it's a good camera. How ironic; I'm watching tv and the ad for the camera just came on. Anyways, I wish I could get extremely close macro shots with it, but 10 inches is about as close as I can comfortably get without problems. My camera can get really close...like within an inch or two, which I LOVE. My cupcake photo was taken with the 550.
Easter Photos..
Tomorrow I'll be off taking Easter photos...and other spring-like photos.
Flower Names..
I have a ton of flower photos sitting in my hard drive right now, asking themselves, "who am I?" This spring/summer, I have to remember to take pictures of the signs that say what the flowers' name is. I never took an interest in knowing what a flower's name was before, but now I find out it's kind of important to know, if there's anyone searching for that perfect Phalaenopsis Orchid. I'm starting to get better at names, but there's still a few I've got no clue what they are, and I can't even find them when looking through other flower guides online. I guess I'll have to take my photos to someone in a greenhouse this spring to find out.
Flower Shops..
Today was the first day someone in Wegmans (a grocery store) told me that I can't take photos there. I've had my camera for nearly 3 years now, and I always bring it with me into the store, including today, when I was stopped by this lady in the flower section.
Moral of the Story:
Support your local flower shops. Buy a flower and snap a bunch of photos.
So to Wegmans....
Thnks fr th mmrs, even though they weren't so great =\
Still will shop there though; they're better than any other place in the area.
Another one of those days..
Shiny new layout. Yum.
